I just destroyed an F rated tire. I kind of figured that 8k rated Chinese tires should be ok on 7k axles. Partially my fault but an tire on an unloaded trailer should take being pulled over some rough terrain without coming apart.

You know I do run my LT tires at Max pressure on my truck all the time. My door sticker says 65 front and 80 rear. I realize that I can lower the rears to improve ride but it is a pain to be raising and lowering tire pressure Everytime I haul something.

My biggest problem is finding a US made tire for the trailer. I think to run a LT in a 235/85 E rated I will have to convert the trailer to triple axle. They are only rated to 3k each or 6k an axle. My trailer is empty between 5 and 6k and my m37 weighs 6500. The tires don't extend to the edge of the trailer so I might be able to fit a different tire size with a higher rating. I would look into g rated lt tires but when I looked into this on my towards rig I couldn't find a g made in the states. This would defeat my purpose.

The reason for being stuck on us tires is that my old 10k trailer had 4 Dura brand tires made in the us when I bought it new. I didn't get a spare and so I went back later and got one. It was a Dura same tread but made in China. I got a nail in on of the originals and switched to the spare. That tire blew a year later. The replacement also blew. The other 3 tires lasted until the tread was worn off after about 7 years. When I replaced all the tires I was on my third China tire. There is a difference.
