Original quote was $162/yr, told me to send a check. I did. But they said they had more questions to ask. I answered them, got a "revised" quote of $192/yr, a 20% increase.
One of the questions was "is the truck worth $5000?" I replied Yes
I said "why the increase?" They said because the original quote was based on a $3500, not $5000. And that they couldn't do a vehicle worth less than $5000.
I said that's funny, you offer a quote based upon a value that you can't/won't insure.
I will try them out for a year, simply because I never drive it anyways.
All insurance is a scam. It is a scummy industry, much worse than bankers,lawyers, big oil, big pharm, religion & politics.
