Back in July I went to a benefit show in Fairfield, Ohio. It's at a facility that was totally built with donations of money and labor for special needs kids. Stunning place and if you get a chance, look at what they have done there. They even have jumbo trons on the fields to show the action. Basically big league type fields where kids can play. All the show proceeds goes to the place and one of the best run events I ever went to. At the end of the show they have all the class winners run up the ramp where the crowd is waiting and a child hands you your trophy.

One of the event directors came up and talked with me and I was telling him how I was blown away with the whole event. He told me the following story which is a little lengthy but well worth repeating.

He said about a year ago he was working there and saw an elderly man sitting in the seats alone. He went up to talk with him and said he then noticed tears running down his face. He asked him if he was allright and he said yes. He told him he was there to watch his grandson playing baseball on the field. He then told him it was the first time he had ever seen his grandson smile. THAT is what it is all about.

There was around 400 cars there and they raised over $25,000.00 that day. If you ever get around the area to see it in person, it is well worth the trip. Such a great cause.
