You really don't want to alter the original seat or seat base, but the solution shouldn't be that hard, as it is a simple seat to copy from just tube and sheetment.

Take the original seat out, and make something that looks just like it and fits the original base frame. The sat back angle should be pretty much OK as it is, you just need runners so that your replacement seat will adjust back maybe 6" You want it to go back rather than up, as if you go up you wont see out the windscreen. I reckon 4 or 5" back should do it.

Once you have the seat back and base where you need them, spend some time finding nice comfortable cushions with decent support, and see how close you can make it look to the original that you have just filed away in the garage ready to swap back in one day.
