even with open diffs all my wheels spin on flat ground even in nasty mud. you only get one wheel spinning when twisted up. its the nature of 5.83 gearing to behave that way. I have run circles around trucks with lockers and small tires. PWs will do really well without them. I have only ever felt the need for one on certain extreme hill climb situations. even then it wasn't enough of an issue to justify the locker for me
