Matt, some of those points appear to have come from my previous posts. I have been driving with an All-Trac (predecessor to the Lock-Right) for about 25 years now. It was a good decision at the time, and I would not be without it now. None of those negative points are a deal breaker for me. Yes, they do exist, but I do not see any of them as a big deal. Of course, I take Power-Wagons for what they are, low horsepower engines, brakes that work excellent if you keep them adjusted properly, etc. The particular actions of a automatic locking differential are just another unique thing that you get used to.

I will not put an ARB unit in my truck mainly because I like to keep my trucks appearing like the would have back in the early 1950's with period correct accessories but not modern accessories that can look out of place. This includes retaining the 6-volt generator. And, an air storage tank that would be needed to retain the 6-volt system would be just another thing needed to be designed.

If you put one in the rear and don't like it, you can always swap out the 3rd members and put it in the front assuming you have lockout hubs. It will function just as well there while using four wheel drive.
