Well, before I give you folks the answer I would like to explain the purpose of the question.

1. Wanted to see if anyone has a Road Speed Data Plate like the one that I have.

2. Have a little fun and get PW folks to remembering/thinking.

3. Research was another objective. If you compare the commercially available RSDP's available from Vintage Power Wagons a quick comparison brings up some interesting questions. There are three of them and NONE like the one that I have. The one that I have came on the Power-Wagon that my Dad bought new in 1948. (Yes, I still have it.) I wanted to see if anyone has one like the RSDP that came with his truck. It would appear that they are scarce as no one gave the same 4th gear, high range speed for a PW factory equipped with 4.89 third members and 7.50 X 16" tires. (One answer was off only 1 MPH.)

4. It is interesting to compare the three RSDP's offered from Vintage. RSDP #16 for early PW's lists 52 MPH. RSDP #13 for later PW's lists 58 MPH. Now here is the kicker RSDP #33 (peel & stick plate) for the very latest PW's lists 55 MPH! What happened here?

5. Perhaps the answer posed in #4 above relates to the different carburetors and governors used. Or maybe the engineers just kept tinkering around making changes as they thought was necessary. Who Knows.

Anyway, Thanks to all who responded and remember I was having a little fun and doing research at the same time. I hope that I did not offend anyone.

Spence

PS Yes Tom, I have THE picture that you wanted to see!
