Totally, let them drive it around. My kids helped me do an engine swap on my M37, so I told them they can use it whenever they want. Twice my teenage son drove it in parades full of friends & siblings.
And boy! Did that screw with some of the "grown ups" seeing the M37 in the parade full of kids!
