I had the line disconnected from the fuel pump while using low air pressure to push the gas down the line to a can just before the fuel pump. Once I knew there was gas in the line, I connected the pump and cranked the engine. The glass bowl filled up. The actual problem was the loose connection mid stream. It was very loose so I must have done that on purpose 3 years ago when I installed the new line. I will be sure to check all the brake line connections before bleeding. That's next.
