I developed a power steering pump setup to work with the Ray Suiter conversion. I wasn’t happy with the one the Ray suggested, since I wanted it to work like a factory setup. What I came up with is based on a factory high mounted pump design, used on passenger car 383’s and 440’s, from the late 60’s and early 70’s. The bracket and pulleys are readily available as reproductions, with the wide interest in the muscle cars. The kicker is that I developed all this for my 318, with V-groove belts, only to decide to switch to a 360, with a serpentine belt.
