But I've never seen one that off.

126182995 breaks down as:

1 = 2wd
2 = 200 or 3/4 ton
6 = 6 cyl
182995 sequential number

2461829956 breaks down as:

24 = WM300
6 = 6cyl
182995 sequential number

So assuming you read the number correctly and that it was stamped legibility the person stamping the frame stamped 12 instead of 24. I've seen a W100 with a L8W3 stamp on the frame instead of the correct L8W1. I've seen a 1959 D800 with a M8D7 frame stamp instead of a M8D8. There are anomalies out there, but one you found is unusual in my experience. I've checked the frames on lots and lots of 1961 and newer trucks and all the frame numbers I have checked matched the tag.

Eric
