The one I did was a different brand but from memory it was about 4 on that one. I just put as much as I could around the gear/chain upon assembly and put it together. I had drill and tapped a zerk at the top above the chain so any added later would hit that. I pumped in about a 1/2 there when it was together.

As you know, it liquifies with heat and then regells when it cools. My situation may be a little different than yours but it's really close to the same.

I've rebuilt some JD cornheads and we used the grease in those. They had THOUSANDS of hours on them and rarely would they go bad. It was all the outer stuff thgat woukld go first and they were spinning WAY faster than a tiller ever will. It's good stuff.
