What a great, historic find. Glad it is in the hands of someone who can appreciate it.
The frame de-lamination is a bit of a concern. But then again, as my welder told me, "There is so much steel in that frame, unless you are going to load the truck up to capacity and work it hard, you have nothing to worry about." I went the extra mile on my truck: took the frame apart, sandblasted the parts and painted them, then reassembled. In the long run it wasn't as bad as I initially thought. I'll bet you will have lots of support on this amazing find. Congratulations!
