A lot of doors have little or no adjustment built in to them.
One way to adjust is to add or subtract shims to the door.
Other way is to bend the door, or the hinges. I have done this for years and have been brought in to align stubborn doors on some projects.
I snagged my carryall door while backing up, the door was open and caught a thick tree branch. I had to slam it after that and the pin area was getting damaged. So yesterday I opened the door, placed a 2x4 on the running board as a lever, blamed a little block under the door so that the 2x4 was not contacting the lip of the door and pried upwards on the 2x4. Took 3 tries to get the door to latch with one finger, and not much force, you want to sneak up on it.
Check your door gaps - some doors are aligned by tweaking the body mounts - 32 Ford roadsters are an example.
