I would never live in or near a large city just not worth it for what you get, lots of crime, idiot liberals, regulations out the butt, etc. I live in a small town Williamsport Indiana, no crime nothing here for the criminals to get, jail is 3 blocks away, the town is the county seat county has no 3 bulb traffic lights in it, 5 blinking lights at stop signs in the whole county. The house I own and live in is in a very nice new addition with great neighbors house value 170,000 on west cost would might bring 850,000 or more, taxes very low etc. I worked for a great company 30 miles away for 29 years now retired with a pension and on SS wife also gets SS never made over 70 grand a year, still able to save 1600 to 2000 dollars a month. If you go after the big bucks your going to get what the big bucks offer, the crime, regulations etc. Anyone can make a good living in small towns and in the country if they watch how they do it, dont borrow a bunch of money work hard pay off your home asap, Im 63 and have not had a mortgage or loan on anything for 23 years, pay cash for everything, if you dont have the money dont buy it. Less worry to you and your family.
