WDX 12V Ignition coil w/ resistor

Can I eliminate the ballast resistor on the firewall by replacing my ignition coil (which is burned up and in need of replacement anyways) with one that has an internal resistor? Is there a NAPA part# or could I install any old 12V IC with res?

Any pro or con to doing this if so?
