I bought my W600 that was 700 miles away. Seller worked well with me, got me tons of pictures/info. When I was satisfied that I wanted it, I mailed a bank check. He cashed it & mailed the title/paperwork/bill of sale. Then I found a fellow member on Gordon's PWA site who was willing to go pick it up & bring it to Texas. It was 6 mth after the purchase that I finally got the truck (bought in Nov, weather didn't clear til May). The hauler didn't ask for any deposit (truck was collateral I guess) and I paid him in full when he got here. My situation went well, but mainly because we all 3 (me, seller,hauler) kept in contact via email/phone & we trusted each other.
