When I bought my truck, I spent a lot of time on the phone with the seller making sure I knew exactly what I was getting, and getting to know the seller. After we struck a deal, I sent him a cashiers check from my bank by FedEx. He in turn FedEx'd me the title and other paperwork. I then used UShip to find a truck to haul it. I paid the trucker a pre-agreed upon amount in cash upon delivery. A bit of trust was needed on both ends, but it worked out well.
