I have the CA YOM plates already. I believe they need to see your insurance info as part of the registration process. My current registration is non op with "place holder" plate numbers, thoses plates never existed. I guess my question is, did you need the vehicle insured when you went to the DMV with application filled out? I already completed the process with my 1956 Chevy, but every time you go to DMV, the process is different depending on who you talk to.
