NEVER bring a truck to a shop and seek a hobby rate OR be OK with a non fixed deadline. when i found the right shop to finish paint my command car, i discussed timeframe, payment AND that my truck was just as important as any 'insurance job' that came in the door during the process. i told the owner, don't take the job unless you can put full effort into it, at one time, and get it done.
a lot of shops will take you in, take your truck apart and use your truck work as FILL. its never a good outcome. yes, you can paint it yourself like others suggest here, but if you are looking for a shop done project, make sure you are managing everyone's expectations.
