Feast your eyes on this lovely girl--"The Rambler." This Power Wagon was bought as war surplus in the late 1940s by a Southern California architect named William Kesling, who had it customized as an early-day RV for exploring Baja California. He later went bankrupt and had to sell his PW and his 100-foot yacht. Any of you PW historians know what job it did in the war? Ambulance, maybe?

Tim Norris How can it be war surplus if it's a postwar powerwagon?

Eric Bannerman I think they started with a chassis cowl and built the rest custom. I don't see any navy ambulance or other common body in that build. It looks most like a bus in the windshield, but it clearly isn't a bus. Custom I think or a body I haven't seen before at the very least.
