Good point on the hitch. I have seen ball mounts that are rated for 16k, but if the hitch isn't rated that high, what good is it?
I don't know enough about the ratings to make sense, but I am sure some do. How does tongue weight on a tandem axle trailer compare to the whole discussion? I assume the 7500# hitch is rated in tongue weight, correct? So tongue weight would actually be less than gvw, right?
