I feel you pain. What can you say, the screwball manufacturers make unique parts that you can only get from them, if they feel like stocking them. On top of that since they are unique by design, they can charge a sky high price. A simple example of this are today's headlights. Every car and trustbusters model has a unique head light. Too bad if you break a lens. Dealer part in most cases that cost 100's of dollars or more. In the "good old days" you spent a few bucks at an auto parts store and you were good to go. But in today's world you can design the head lights any way you want and take your customer for big bucks. So much for standardization and ease of replacement.
