Nice Carryalls!

I'm only a couple hours down the road from you in Columbia.

The WC tire carrier is the same for open and closed models. The WC mount arm is angled because it bolts to the frame under the cab where the frame is tapered. I believe It is also longer because the frame is narrower farther forward. The Power Wagon mount arm bolts to the parallel part of the frame, so it does not need the angle.

The longer arm tire carrier is also why the WC has an extra crossmember bolted between the frame rails behind the transmission. That crossmember serves to reinforce the frame where the tire mounts.

I have a tire arm for my Carryall that I will probably never use, because I find lots of utility in being able to open the driver's door. I also removed the extra crossmember to make room for the larger intermediate drive shaft to accompany a 2 speed transfercase.
