Ok, think a friend got one of the few (62 made) 1942 Navy Department Command Cars.
I was cleaning her frame off to find the Serial # and came across navy grey paint (It's everywhere) There's also a Navy dash tag (round like a key fob) with a USN number on her.
Seats seem to be original black under the current Hunter green seat covers.

Anyone have ANY photo's or details of the Navy Command Cars?
Anyone Know where the numbers are to search for (looks like the rear deck lid has some in black)

Will need a spare tire carrier and a passenger running board for a WC56-58 (Or any 3/4 spare carrier) Anyone have one they want to send to a good home?
Regards W. Winget

PS: Turns out the distributor Condensor was the only thing keeping the engine dead. Started right up (fresh fuel / battery) and then I even got bold enough to run the 5+ year old stuff directly from the fuel tank since the fuel pump was gushing it into a five gallon can for me (She runs smooth, even on the old junk!!!!!)

I felt like Tom Hanks in Castaway when he yelled "I have created Fire!!!"
