Pictures in the messages are linked from the locat1on they are stored. You can't attach a picture like you would in an eamil.
If you want a picture to show:
1st get the picture on the internet, either by FTP'ing it up to your server, or using something like Photopoint, that lets your store pictures on their site.
Next you copy the locat1on of the picture like http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1250504&a=13974634&p=56225622
and paste that into the box marked "Optional Image Link" "URL" at the bottom of the box where you type in messages.
