Microlock. It is a valve that you put in your brake line. It is either run by a manual valve or a solinoid. Basically it works like this. When you want to set the brakes you step on the brakes hard enough so that the truck will not roll then flip the manual valve or the solinoid switch. Remove your foot from the brake peddle and the brakes will stay set and the vehicle willo not move. When you want to move the truck again you flip the valve or flip the solinoid switch and step on the brakes with a pressure slightly grater than you set them with. Release the brake and away you go. They are commonly used in tow trucks on both front and rear brakes. This holds them in position without the driver have to stomp on the brakes.

The disavantage is they will release if you have a leak in a wheel cylinder. They are not government approved emergency brakes. But they do work and I have seen them in several trucks and they have not caused any problems.

The electric solinoid ones are not real cheap and the dealer around here thinks they are gold, but he supplies tow truck equipment.
