With very heavy heart I sit here typing this...Monday morning my Mom finally lost her battle with lung disease and being on a oxygen generator for the last 3 years. She was born in Kansas in 1926 and orphan by age 9 and raised by aunts and grandparents. She lived through the Dust Bowl times, the great depression. She meet my dad after the war and raise me and my four siblings. I spent the last 10 years caring for her and she remained living here in her home until her final hour. Of this I am truly proud. We made it through some rough patches these last few years together. She put with all my projects and always enjoyed seeing the progress I made to bring them back together again.
I'm not real sure what my future hold or even what to think at this point going forward. I want to thank Joe for this site and all of you personally for being a safe diversion from all the stuff we go through in life. I've lurked here for years and have really learned by all your examples and lessons of that it takes to be a good human.
To all the fire fighters, EMT, nurses and doctors you are truly angels among us. Hug your loved ones today.
