Of course the answer is yes as the truck was designed for heavy loads. In my case and maybe yours, if the heaviest thing you will be hauling is a 6 pack, maybe this will work for you. I followed Ric Tudor's suggestion for a better ride by removing about a third of the leaf springs all the way around substituting the ones I removed with strips of 1/4" UHMWPE.The decrease in the front end bucking up and down was significant and the truck rides much better overall . So you ask what is Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)? In short, it's plastic cut to the thickness and length of the springs you removed so your truck remains at the same height as before.Since you have to buy this stuff in rather large quantities,I probably have enough left over for several trucks so contact me if you are considering doing this, I will be pleased to share what's left at my prorated cost (plus shipping which should not be much as this stuff is light).
