Hello ,All,
The valves in my 237 with the VPW HP Iskenderian 44-3/4 grind cam need adjustment. I can hear one or more ticking when the motor is running. The Isky handout for the cam says to adjust them "Cold" at .012" for Intake and .014" for the exhaust. Nothing about a "Hot" adjustment. The Dodge manual for the 230 motor says to adjust the exhaust valves an additional .002" of clearance for continuous high speed driving. I run the 237 at around 2450-2500 RPM's or so when I am on the freeway. Mind you, this freeway driving is only done once in a while. As I am going to take the truck on a 450 mile round trip outing next month, I don't want to burn a valve or worse while cruising down the freeway. What do you guys think I should do? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Joe Giraud
