I disagree with the 8 3/4 gears not holding up. I am running 4.10s in my truck with 360 hp, and although I would not try to stomp on it from a stand still, I can lay into it from a roll and they have held up just fine. I have a centered rear end and i worry more about snapping an axle shaft than breaking the gears. Of coarse if your stuck and start wheel hopping,that may be a different story.
