Don't quote me but I believe the Ford Case has a lopsided bolt pattern where it connects to the bell, where the Dodge is uniform (squareish). I believe both companies offered the two different 1st gear ratios (6.68:1, and 4.56:1) The Dodge low ratio should say "DL" on the tag somewhere and have a 6.68:1 1st gear. No idea on input or output shafts but I would suspect they are different as well.
