Most anything can be done on a body swap. I measured out over 20 different truck frames when I did mine so be sure to do your homework. My goal was a stronger frame and still look like it fit the body. Meaning, not much hanging down. It's just very time consuming as you know to get everything to line up. Take a lot of measurements in a note for references.

Nice donor trucks have gone way up in price so the price has risen on them. The 1/2 ton 2wd trucks have an indent in the firewall witch allows more room for swaps. Cabs from those trucks are normally cheaper and have a taller skirt under the door to cover the frame. Rear fenders and beds can be bought new but drives up the cost. Originals are scarce and fenders demand a premium. It just simply depends on your ability to find a deal.

I wasn't trying to discourage you or doubt your skills. It's just hard to say as the variables for cost are just totally up in the air due to what you can come across. have a look at my build album and it might give you some things to watch for and consider.
