The subaru is better than a truck on those slick roads. I keep a beater subaru wagon at our place for my kid - as long as clearance isn't a problem, it just sticks to the road.
Camper would be nice - I've been thinking about making a camper for my flatbed but haven't settled on a design yet. Easiest shell would be to just bolt on an s250 radio shelter.
