Talked to the inspector when it was first built at one story and it was set at closest you could do it. I had a big drop off on the other side I filled and packed the last 20 years. I was going to look into those I did not want to stop it from coming off but having it come off in sections would be nice. At 20 pounds a cubic ft for wet snow the 1600 sq ft each roof side weighed 32,000 lbs when it slid off! Both sides were over 64,000 pounds of snow that cut loose at once. The building flat roof foot print size is 51' x 51' and add the 8 ft plus tall ridge height in on the tin it adds up quick. It was like a solid wall of white when it cut loose all at once.
