If he is over 18 and not calling for money, let him "experience" life with the precursor that he call home once a week ( or on the same schedule) to keep Mom sane.
Hopefully it will give him wisdom to excell in life when he is ready. Heck, most of us slept in a tent in the mud at 18, compliments of the U.S. Government!
