Hi Galen,

A couple of forums ago, you responded to one of my posts, saying that you had installed a 251 in your '53 Power Wagon. You talked about rotating the upper radiator tank 180 degrees to make it work when moving the radiator forward by 2". Maybe your radiator is different from mine, but on mine, I don't see how that can work. If anything, it will place the filler neck even farther forward than it would already be with the 2" move. Do you know if the 1953 radiator is different from the 1949 radiator?

Also, I'm told that it's risky to remove one of these tanks, as the brass often cracks. I wonder if a radiator shop could make an upper tank to do the job, and maybe even make it narrower front to back so I don't have to push the grill forward.

Also, did you stick with the original 10" clutch and non-synchro crash box tranny?

Thanks for any input you can provide.
