It is 51 3/4" center to center on the studs for what goes in the sockets. It has a 3" offset starting about a foot from one end that is for clearing the front differential on a PW. The threaded area could be close to 49" but it is screwed in the ends pretty far. I know it is a left and right thread cause that is how it is adjusted. The diameter is almost 1 1/2" thick looking at a tape above it.
