The distribution tube was like new when I pulled it from the block it slipped right out. No crud was on it all. The engine was clean and must have been worked on before I got it. The truck used to carry logs out of the mountains in it's past life before it became a snow plow truck at a home near me. That radiator was clean and when I looked inside the top the tubes were nice with nothing setting on the top and from what I could see the tubes were open. I flushed it several times and it flowed nice. I even checked it for cold spots and even tempiture thru out the core and it tested great. Not one tube was pinched off and it looked pretty new to me for it's age. The blocks on these truck can fill up with stuff I know I have seen it before. My first one I had to hook up a 5 HP Pump to it and ran around 100 plus GPM thru it to wash it all out to stop it from over heating. That engine the dist tube was corroded up and had to be replace not brand new looking like this engine one was. I still think he ran it to hard for the conditions and did not relies it was getting hot and pushed it to far and something might have plugged up the stat a little and slowed the water flow down some? If he ever calls back again I will know what ended up happening to cause it?
