I tested the dump flow on the radiator it was a nice one and was clean. I also used a IR Heat detector to make sure it was even heated across the whole core with out any hot or cold spots. No pinched strips or corroded stuff in it or when cleaned. It came from a running truck. I had a 15 plus degree temp different from top to bottom when running. I drove it 5 miles at around 30 MPH +- and it stayed at 150-160 degs after the stat opened up. I let the engine run once for around 30 mins at 1500 RPMs sitting still no over heating at all. I think he may have just got it hot driving it cause he has not called back since I told him to pull the stat and see if it is blocked on the bottom side then refill it and drive it back home. Then test it at home in water and a thermometer to see when it opens. I did not put a new one in but again it was off a working engine.
