Ain't that the truth. My grandmother had her homeowners with the same company for 40 years. Her first claim was after 40 years when someone came and stole the lightning rod balls and wind vanes off all 3 barns. whe the did it, they rip all the towers off. We didn't ask for antique glass balls back, just to repair the rods and lines to protect the buildings.
They denied saying it was "personal property" and we would take them us if we sold. One call to the Ohio Ombudsman and he said if they don't call within 24 hrs, call us back. They called an hour later and said get an estimate. Problem solved after they paid and we dropped them.
