hello folks, its been a while since i have posted due to my time devoted to building a garage to house my powerwagon. this past july i got my truck finished 95% and was able to participate in the july 4th parade, truck ran well!!! over the next few weeks i ran it with no problem until one sunday morning i took it out of the driveway and lost all power. weird haven't had time until today to diagnose and the cause was a faulty mech fuel pump. the pin that holds the arm in slid out far enough to were the spring and arm all fell inside the oil pan. i pulled the pump off and stole the parts off the nos pump to fix the newer junk vpw pump. pretty pissed off that the new design doesn't include the pin locked in with a clip or peened over. i have yet to assess any damage going to pull the oil pan off and see what the fuel pump parts look like. i should be back up and running soon now that the fix is easy and hopefully there won't be much damage to the crank.
