Just saw a big high-end side-by-side with tracks on a trailer in town today. I would think they'd have zero stability on side hills, plus people tell me you really have to wind the engine up to high RPM to even go at ATV speed, much less snowmobile speed. A guy who knows the dealers in Cd'A tells me snowmobile sales have been way, way down for the last several years. People just aren't buying new ones any more. Sure, they're $15 grand, but so are quads, and they can go a lot higher depending on how you accessorize them. The main thing, though, is you can ride a quad most of the year and in most places, including on firm spring snow, and you can haul a fair amount of stuff too. I'm sticking with the Tucker myself. "No snow too deep, no road too steep."
