Okay, enough picking on you. Technically, no. They are not the same front and rear. It doesn't matter if you are asking about the early shocks to '56 or the later shocks from '56 and up. Fronts and rears of both series are slightly different. I do not remember of the lengths are different or not, but the rear shocks have stone guards to deflect rocks thrown back by the front tires. Front shocks do not have the stone guards. You can see the different part numbers on the Vintage Power Wagons site.
