I fired up the Sno-Cat today for the first time in 2 years because my sister is coming over for the weekend and I wanted to take them up in the hills Sunday. Started okay, but would not run at any speed without the choke about half closed. Took the top off the carburetor and it looked pretty gunky inside. I'd rebuilt it when I got it, but sitting all that time with gas in it took its toll. Got it cleaned up and put back together but the accelerator pump doesn't pump within the normal stroke of the throttle. It works fine if I push it down further by hand. There is at least a 1/2" gap between the top of the pump spring and the brass disk that pushes on it.

I see a place that sells new springs, but I don't have time for that. Does anyone have one handy that they know is the right length and can measure it for me, or if you can remember when you had one apart how much free travel there is supposed to be before it starts pushing on the spring? Thanks!
