why tractors have single wire alternators and most OEM vehicles are one form or another of the 3 wire variety. I am not a fan of the single wire and the 3 wire sense and charge much more efficiently than the single wire style.
Going on the Ford it is dead simple to wire in a 3G.
Delco SI series 12 are easy to get kits for and after market does make a bunch of high output models.
