As mentioned the stock Alt. is not enough at 60 amp, probably 20 or so at idle.
Look for a Motorcraft 100 amp alt. and see how difficult it would be to change over.
Or buy a GM 27SI Delco install and wire in.
It is a 100 amp. 65 at idle, three wire alt or you could find one in single wire.
Shouldn't be to hard to mount.
The 27SI was used in late 70's early-mid 80's Cadillac, Buick, Pont.
