I vote take a pre made Christmas/birthday dinner, maybe have kids come over different times so you can say_____(name inserted) "thanks for bringing the tree", next grandkids repeat greeting "thanks for bringing the decorations" etc, etc.. Not too many Christmases left it seems, make it special.
