OK, maybe I am the only idjit who did it this way, but using the suction pumps to transfer gear lube from the jug to the diff (or transfer case, tranny etc) has always been a nasty messy and just downright unpleasant task. I would stick the hose into the jug and draw back the plunger and suck the gear lube up into the chamber and then move the now slimy and dripping hose from the jug to the fill hole and pump it in. Repeat for ever until full and there is gear lube all over you, the floor, the side of whatever you are filling an then you are done. I filled both diffs on the W100 today, and then topped off the transfer case. On my last filling, I realized it might be easier to pull out the plunger, unscrew the end of the barrel and pour the oil into it and then screw the end on and bingo ready to go. It worked like a charm, and if I had thought of it before pumping 2 gallons, I would be even more pleased!
So, is this the way everyone else does it and I am just late to the party or am I onto something?
Tim
