Dave, all these guys have good tips. Try this too. With everything hooked up normally, just go to the starter and press the button hard using leverage with something like a crowbar, so you are putting a lot of pressure on the button, forcing it hard into the 2 copper contacts. This take the foot pedal out of the equation and should cause the starter motor to spin without engaging the flywheel.Really simple test to see if you are getting any voltage to the starter.
